Glen Rose Optimist Club is a non-profit civic organization that focuses on and prioritizes the youth of Somervell County! We sponsor monthly Student of the Month recognitions, provide numerous scholarships throughout the year, and provide the Partners in Patriotism flag program here in our community. Please consider joining us at our monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of each month from 7-8am at the Somervell County Senior Center on Barnard Street (breakfast is provided). I am the President of the Glen Rose Optimist Club. We are small, but we are mighty! We won the TexHoma Small Chapter of the Year award in 24-25. We give out $4,700 annually in scholarships. We sponsor Cow Patty Bingo, Partners in Patriotism, and always work with LDL on Paluxy Pedal. We do countless activities and award 8 Student of the Month Awards every month for students at ALL levels K-12. Please consider joining us, or supporting us.
